I have known Tony Finneran for over 40 years. I first met Tony Finneran when we used to go around bus depots taking pictures e.g. Riverstone Bus Service when the Police were called.
Tony inspires me and I have great admiration for the work he has done for the stroke foundation by donating money from the seven bus books in the Gone but not Forgotten (GBNF) Series that I am the honourary Marketing Manager for.
Tony has donated over $42,000 to The Stroke Foundation through his GBNF books. Plus he has had a great Marketing Manager i.e. me! I have been honoured to have been made "the adopted son" into his Family as a Viet-Nam Veteran. "Adopted Dad" served in WW2 and 27 years after in the Regular Army and we shared much empathy together. They were a special family in my life post Vietnam.
Also poor Amanda had to cope with everything because he complained about a slight pain and was in hospital for 13 weeks swanning around being a malingerer holding up a book that his Marketing Manager had promoted Now, of course, he has meetings with the Governor of NSW, the Premier too.. what's next a letter from the Queen or a order of Australia and does he mention the book? People ask are you still the " Marketing Manager" ??????
Did I mention book 2 " All over Advertising Buses and Coaches" was a complete sell out and is now a collector's item! It had my name on the cover as co-author for all my input and my name has never been on since, so much for the great expensive marketing - "FREDDY'.
I wish him Good Health & more Success in his future ventures I Feel proud to have him as a Friend . "FREDDY FREELOADER" alias Ray Boddenberg
