An Aussie Busman's holiday in Japan

When a busman goes on holidays it won't be a holiday from looking at buses!

This adventure takes in our holidays to Japan in 2017 and 2024.

The 2017 mission went to cities and towns such as Abashiri, Hakone, Hiroshima, Hokkaido, Hakodate, Kyoto, Osaka and Tokyo. The cruise also went to Sakhalin in Russia for a day.

The 2024 itinerary included destinations including Kamakura, Kanazawa, Kyoto, Magome, Matsumoto, Nagano, Nagoya, Shirakawago, Shizuoka, Takayama, Tateyama, and Tokyo environs such as Shinjuku railway station.

As usual public transport operators and their buses are featured and also touring coaches through the ages. Designs vary from angular, classic to modern designs.  Numerous Japanese chassis makes are represented.

The book shows interesting styles from J-Bus (Bodybuilder) and the OEMs,  plus Volgren from Australia.

We loved the concept of Japanese bus passengers loading through the rear door and exiting and also       paying the fare via the front door    We trust you will enjoy this Aussie Busman’s holiday!
